Center For Community Based Learning
The Center for Community-Based Learning (CBL) coordinates academic service-learning and other civic engagement initiatives. Partnerships between the college and community agencies provide opportunities for students to reinforce classroom skills and knowledge while they engage in work that benefits the common good. The center fosters relationships with more than 70 non-profit organizations and agencies who contribute to the life of the college.
Internships are strongly encouraged for all students during the junior year, senior year or summer between the third and fourth year. These learning experiences in practical work settings are supervised by both professionals in the field and by faculty members.
