5. Faculty Meetings
A. The faculty body will convene at regular and special meetings to hear reports from faculty committees and administrators, and to conduct business related to the academic programming, governance, etc., at Central College. The President of the College or designee acts as chair of faculty meetings and appoints a secretary. (The Constitution of the Faculty of Central College, FC.3)
B. It is the responsibility of the Faculty Steering Committee to set meeting times and agendas for faculty meetings.
C. Rules and principles include:
1. Unless otherwise specified in these bylaws, the faculty meeting is conducted according to Robert’s Rules of Order.
2. Any request by a faculty member for a secret recorded ballot is binding upon the chair.
3. The faculty as a whole retains its right to make policy and approve all policy recommendations from committees.
